Stocks in Focus: GIFT Nifty traded flat as the index was up 165 points or 0.76% at 21,902.50 indicating a positive opening for domestic indices NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex on Friday. Previously, on Thursday, the NSE Nifty 50 lost 28.25 points or 0.13% to settle at 21,697.45, while the BSE Sensex closed 106.81 points or 0.15% lower to 71,645.30.

The company on Thursday recorded its third-quarter profit for the financial year 2023-24 at Rs 1053 crore, up 16.5% in comparison to Rs 904 crore during the third quarter of FY23. It posted revenue from operations at Rs 14,164 crore, up 22% in comparison to Rs 11,609 crore during the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
Jindal Steel & Power
On Thursday, the company announced that the company managing director, Bimlendra Jha has resigned from the services of the firm, with effect from the close of business hours of January 31, 2024, citing personal reasons. He will continue to be associated with the company in the capacity of Advisor, it said in a regulatory filing.

The company on Thursday announced that it has received approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) for its Abbreviated New Drug Application for Dronedarone Tablets USP, 400 mg.

The company has signed an agreement with Matrix Clothing Private Limited to acquire 100% of the equity share capital of Matrix Design & Industries Private Limited for Rs 489 crores, out of which Rs 247.5 crores is being paid by way of preferential allotment of shares of Gokaldas Exports through a share swap.

Moody’s Investors Service (Moody’s) has affirmed its Baa3 issuer rating
and Baa3 senior unsecured rating relating to the Company. Moody’s has also maintained a stable outlook, according to an exchange filing.
UFO Moviez India
The company will acquire the entire stake of Qube, comprising 1,00,000 equity shares in the joint venture named Upmarch Media Network (“Upmarch”) which was incorporated for undertaking Ad sales business. “Consequent to the acquisition of stake, Upmarch will become a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company,” said an exchange filing.
PB Fintech
Singaporean sovereign wealth fund Temasek Holdings on Thursday sold its entire 5.42% stake in Policybazaar’s parent firm PB Fintech for Rs 2,425 crore through open market transactions.
Temasek Holdings’ wholly-owned subsidiary Claymore Investments (Mauritius) Pte Ltd sold the shares of PB Fintech in three tranches on the BSE.

Tata Group is in advanced talks to form a joint venture with Taiwan firm Pegatron to set up its second iPhone manufacturing unit in Hosur City, Tamil Nadu, Reuters reported citing two sources aware of the matter.
